Description

Create a calm and comforting atmosphere with this amazing fragrance from Arabia.

Bakhoor Oud Khanjar Al Arab is floral, striking and exotic.

It has scented oils, musk, resin, sandalwood, ambergris, floral oils, and others in its composition.

Bakhoor is the Omani name for a mixture of traditional natural ingredients that are offered when burning. This typical Arabian incense blend is sold in the Souq of Muscat or Salalah (spice market).

Bakhoor or Bukhoor comes from the Arabic “bukhar,” meaning steam or fumes, and consists mainly of shavings/chips of Oud, the Arabic name for Agarwood. Oud and/or other basic ingredients are infused with oils scented with other natural ingredients or popular fragrances such as sandalwood, musk, or rose oil. The ingredients of bakhoor and the weighing of the ingredients are considered the secret of the producer (bakhoor is mostly made and sold by women).

Besides being a striking incense, bakhour has other benefits, such as for health, having an antibacterial effect, helping to fight insomnia and get a peaceful night’s sleep, and is also a relaxing care with an anti-stress effect.

The bakhoor can be used during special occasions, such as weddings, or simply for relaxing purposes. In Arab culture, it is a traditional gesture to pass the bakhoor among the guests so that they can perfume their hair, clothes, and hands. This is believed to be as inherent to hospitality as serving coffee, tea, and dates.

Bakhoor is offered in different forms: Predominantly as dark, slightly oily mixtures, but also in the form of tablets or pressed pieces. In the Arab region, Bakhoor blends from Dhofar (Oman) are particularly popular. Bakhoor is burned on charcoal (sometimes also along with incense).

Immerse yourself in the more intense world of Oud with the beautiful Bakhoor Oud Khanjar al Arab. Emitting a deeper aroma, this long-lasting fragrance exudes royalty, elegance, and wealth.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AGARWOOD BURNING

Agarwood is mainly used for burning incense and perfumes, as its odor is highly complex and spiritually and psychologically pleasing and has great cultural and religious significance since ancient times. It has been extensively mentioned in the ancient Sanscrit Vedas of India, the Chinese chronicles of the 3rd century AD, the Muslim Sahih of the 8th century, as well as in the Ayurvedic medical text of Susruta Samhita. Agar wood burning is said to have a calming effect on the spirit and mind, helping to achieve a higher level of awareness and peace.

Burning Agarwood for its medicinal benefit has been widely used in Chinese Medicine, as the healing properties of Agarwood have been shown to strengthen the heart, help decrease respiratory infections, and can be used as a sleep aid for terminally ill patients. Within Feng Shui, it is believed that burning Oudh can attract positive energy, Qi, or even transform negative energy into positive energy, thus improving the mind and health, warding off evil, and bringing success to your life. In many cultures, the smell of burning Agarwood is believed to be an aphrodisiac, so women perfume their clothes, hair, and bodies with the aromatic, pleasantly warm, oudwood-scented smoke.
